Imperial Meeting 2019

Eight of our members entered the 150th Imperial Meeting at Bisley in July, including two new members, Reg Curtis and Joe Baldwin.

We entered three teams in concurrent competitions and the results were as follows:

Belgian – 30th (36 teams entered)

Bank of England – 20th (30 teams entered)

Rifle Clubs – 15th (34 teams entered)

Paul was our only member to reach the second stage of The Queen’s prize, but didn’t make it to the final. Reg Curtis wins the Spiriti Cup for the highest place in The Queen’s Prize (not having won it in the last 3 years), as Paul won it last year. The cup will be presented at the Club Championships later in the year.

Reg was our highest placed member in the Grand and wins The Gordon Bennett trophy (not having won it in the last 3 years). The cup will be presented at the Club Championships later in the year.

Reg also shot in the St. George’s final finishing 34th. Well done.

Five of our members were selected to shoot and/or coach for their counties – Geoff, Ian, Paul, Reg and Joe. Well done.
